Commenting on the survey results, Roisin Foran, RVN, and head nurse here at Just Cats said, "We are always amazed by the creativity and humour of Irish pet owners when it comes to choosing cat names. From political figures to puns on popular culture, the list of names this year is a testament to the Irish sense of humour."

"We believe that a pet's name is an extension of their personality and it's always great to see pet owners take the time to come up with something that reflects their pet's unique traits. The survey shows that pet owners are taking a creative approach to naming their furry friends and adding a little humour to their lives"

Just Cats Veterinary Clinic is Dublin's first and only dedicated feline veterinary clinic. We are proud holders of the Gold Standard Award for the Cat Friendly Clinic program, making them one of the only two Cat Friendly Clinics in Ireland. As part of the family-owned Village Vets practice, here at Just Cats we are an independent stand-alone veterinary clinic solely for cats. Our clinic is designed to make cats feel at ease, and their staff handles patients with empathy and compassion.

Cats often become stressed when introduced to novel situations, such as going in the car or visiting the vet. At Just Cats we do our best to alleviate these stresses and provide pet owners with information on how to make their trip to the clinic as calm as possible. From the waiting room to the cattery, "cat-friendliness" was accounted for at every step, and the feline facial pheromones that diffuse in the air throughout the clinic help to create a calming environment.

In the end, the survey has proven that Irish pet owners like to have the craic when naming their cats. Taking the opportunity to name their cat something that showcases the unique personalities of each cat. The clinic's dedication to providing a stress-free environment for cats further reinforces the importance of pet owners taking the time to consider their pets' unique needs and personalities.
