Welcome to Village Vets, Dunboyne
Our Dunboyne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2003 and underwent significant renovations in 2018 to become the modern, two-storied practice you see today.
We have three consult rooms, a dedicated lab area and diagnostic imaging room, and separate dog and cat wards with isolation facilities and soft, luxurious bedding to reduce stress when your pet has to stay with us. Clients can enjoy our spacious, bright reception room and we have a large lift to transport our patients safely between our two floors.
We’re conveniently located in the centre of Dunboyne and clients can make use of our small, free car park at the back of our building, as well as free street parking in the town.

Pet health plan
We're very proud of our innovative Pet Health Plan, which includes unlimited vet visits. We believe that the cost of a consultation should never be a barrier to getting expert advice, and the practice has over 1000 pets taking advantage of the fantastic benefits it offers. All of our team members are pet owners and we all choose to enrol our pets on to the Pet Health Plan, as we all believe it provides the best level of care for our loved ones.

Our family have come on a long journey since 1980 when our dad, Karl Cosgrave, bought the veterinary practice in Dunshaughlin. Like all families, we’ve grown and changed since then. These days we’re proud to be working with the best vets and nurses in Ireland across our state of the art clinics in Meath and Dublin.

Supporting our local community
We take great pride in giving back to the Dunboyne community, and contribute wherever we can, offering discounted services to charities such as Dogs Trust and Mollies Animal Rescue, as well as helping to fundraise for Kildare Animal Welfare. We also regularly treat sick and injured wildlife for free – and are happy to help if you have a problem with wildlife in the area!
