Our Castleknock branch opened as a proud member of the Village Vets family in 2022, and is purpose-built to provide the very best veterinary care to the pets in our community.
We have four consult rooms with one available for nurse consults as well as a quiet, respectful area for owners to say goodbye to their pets. We have modern diagnostic equipment in-house, including dental and digital x-rays and ultrasound. We have achieved silver cat friendly status from the International Society of Feline Medicine, and are committed to giving our feline patients the best experience possible when they visit us.
We’re conveniently located in the centre of Castleknock and clients can make use of two hours of free parking at our next door neighbour, Lidl.

We're very proud of our innovative Pet Health Plan, which includes unlimited vet visits. We believe that the cost of a consultation should never be a barrier to getting expert advice, and the practice has over 1000 pets taking advantage of the fantastic benefits it offers. All of our team members are pet owners and we all choose to enrol our pets on to the Pet Health Plan, as we all believe it provides the best level of care for our loved ones.

Our family have come on a long journey since 1980 when our dad, Karl Cosgrave, bought the veterinary practice in Dunshaughlin. Like all families, we’ve grown and changed since then. These days we’re proud to be working with the best vets and nurses in Ireland across our state of the art clinics in Meath and Dublin.

Supporting our local community
We take great pride in giving back to the Castleknock community, and contribute wherever we can, offering discounted services to charities such as Dogs Trust, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and Kildare Animal Welfare. We also regularly treat sick and injured wildlife for free – and are happy to help if you have a problem with wildlife in the area!
We sponsor Castleknock Hurling and Football Club and our team often walk their dogs in the nearby Phoenix Park.
