Welcome to Village Vets, DSPCA
Our DSPCA branch opened as a proud member of the Village Vets family in 2019, having previously operated as the veterinary clinic for our neighbouring DSPCA shelter – which we continue to support.
We have a separate dog and cat ward, a prep room with an x-ray machine and two surgery rooms, including facilities for more complex orthopaedic procedures. We offer discounts to supporters of the DSPCA and also help to facilitate their boarding hotel.
Clients can make use of the plenty of free parking we have at the clinic, which includes an overflow car park.

Pet health plan
We're very proud of our innovative Pet Health Plan, which includes unlimited vet visits. We believe that the cost of a consultation should never be a barrier to getting expert advice, and the practice has over 1000 pets taking advantage of the fantastic benefits it offers. All of our team members are pet owners and we all choose to enrol our pets on to the Pet Health Plan, as we all believe it provides the best level of care for our loved ones.

Our family have come on a long journey since 1980 when our dad, Karl Cosgrave, bought the veterinary practice in Dunshaughlin. Like all families, we’ve grown and changed since then. These days we’re proud to be working with the best vets and nurses in Ireland across our state of the art clinics in Meath and Dublin.

Supporting our local community
We take great pride in giving back to our community, and contribute wherever we can, including working with the DSPCA to care for strays. We also regularly treat sick and injured wildlife for free – and are happy to help if you have a problem with wildlife in the area!
We have a lovely dog walking route that starts beside our clinic and leads all around the DSPCA premises, where you may bump into friendly ponies and can always rely on a tasty cup of coffee once you’re finished.
