Job Description: Growth Marketing Manager

Summary of Job Purpose and Function 

The Growth Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving new customer Client Acquisition and cost per acquisition (CAC) by crafting and executing robust digital acquisition strategies. The position will focus on driving online appointment bookings via SEO, PPC and other paid digital channels and through improved website journeys and conversion rate.    Collaborating closely with the marketing, veterinary, and digital teams, the Growth Marketing Manager will ensure a strong first appointment booking journey that reflects Village Vets' core values. By harnessing technology and a test & learn approach, this role will be integral to introduction new clients and pets to Village Vets.   

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement client acquisition strategies aimed at growing the customer base, and with a specific focus on clinic-level acquisitions for online appointments and Pet health plan. 
  • Develop acquisition campaigns across a variety of paid and organic channels (PPC, SEO, Meta, etc.) to drive traffic to the website and convert to online appointment bookings. 
  • Manage PPC campaigns to drive appointment growth in target locations, expand keyword set, optimise copy and landing pages to improve quality score and reduce CPAs. Devise PPC strategy for long-term growth and new clinic openings. 
  • Develop SEO strategy in collaboration with the SEO agency outlining a roadmap for technical, content and link building improvements to drive bookings. Manage local SEO presence through Google Business Profile and clinic pages. 
  • Understand cannibalisation between PPC and SEO and optimise PPC spend and SEO focus to achieve best possible presence on Google v competitors. 
  • Drive appointment bookings via paid social campaigns with a variety of concepts, formats and messages and driving demand to local clinics. Utilise insights to optimise CTRs and CPAs. Collaborate with the Brand Specialist for creative development. 
  • Manage website development and optimisation in collaboration with the Brand team and development agency, implementing a conversion rate optimisation (CRO) programme and scaling SEO content for further growth. 
  • Own the online booking platform, analysing drop offs in the booking journey and making improvements to the flow through from starting a booking to confirmation. 
  • Manage Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite and other Marketing technology to provide insights on Marketing performance to the Marketing team and wider business. 
  • Onboard new acquisitions and greenfields onto the website, online booking platform and acquisition campaigns. Manage separate websites, SEO and booking journey where appropriate for a strong existing brand. 
  • Develop a referral strategy with the Operations team to increase referrals from internal clinics and external Vets. 
  • Collaborate with veterinary and marketing teams to identify key acquisition opportunities to drive demand into clinics, from early-life vaccinations to senior pet care. 
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including CAC, online bookings, search volume, impression share and ranking. Prepare reports on acquisition performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. 
  • Develop and utilise quantitative and qualitative data insights to refine acquisition strategies, incorporating feedback into service offerings and communication. 
 

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in digital marketing and customer acquisition, preferably within healthcare, retail, or subscription-based industries. 
Experience & Job Knowledge

We are proud to support our staff with a comprehensive CPD program and we welcome and encourage any interest in further education.  We do not have any out of hours service during the week or weekends.    Job purpose   To conduct primary responsibilities as a veterinary surgeon in accordance with the standards and values upheld by Village Vets & the Veterinary Council of Ireland, contributing to the highest quality animal care, excellent staff relationships & customer service. In addition, carry out secondary responsibility duties, to assist in the efficient running of the veterinary clinic as directed by the Lead Vet or Regional Director.      Principal accountabilities:  
  • Diagnose, treat and care for all patients to the standard upheld by Village Vets  
  • Investigate and treat cases within the practice as completely as possible within the practice before referring, according to the needs of the patient  
  • Assume full responsibility for patients, ensuring that care after-hours or after referral is appropriate and of the highest standard, and that handover of cases is done effectively  
  • Keep medical records up to date and accurate  
  • Prescribe and dispense medications correctly and safely, and help maintain adequate stock levels  
  • Communicate effectively with clients, giving estimates and relevant information on diagnostics and treatment plans to allow informed decision-making regarding treatment.  
  • Provide and maintain an outstanding client experience throughout the whole practice across all mediums (face-to-face, phone, email, social media, website etc.)  
  • Promote the Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to all clients to facilitate the highest level of veterinary care.  
  • Communicate effectively with the team in the clinic to ensure patients and clients are treated with the highest level of care and compassion, to the standard upheld by Village Vets  
  • Provide appropriate veterinary training to all staff in order to assist with best practice measures.  
  • Help maintain the appearance and daily running of the clinic to the standard upheld by Village Vets  
  • Ensure that all bills are priced correctly  
  • Maintain membership of the VCI and be familiar with the legislation affecting the practice of veterinary medicine in Ireland.  
  • Adhere to the guidelines of practice as stated in the VCI Guide to Professional Conduct and remain up to date with CPD requirements.  
  • Behave at all times in a manner which serves to instil confidence in our profession in the minds of the team, individual clients and the wider general public.  
  • Carry out any ad hoc veterinary or administrative duties that may arise through the normal course of the day within the clinic or as advised by head nurse/lead vet.  
  • Complete all tasks, duties and procedures efficiently and accurately.  
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.  
   Administrative duties:  
  • Complete referral letters and accompanying medical histories.  
  • Prepare all relevant paperwork for external laboratories.  
  • Complete pet passports where applicable.  
  • Sign off vaccination records.  
  • Complete insurance claim forms if and when necessary.  
  • While at work all staff are required to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions & co-operate with Village Vets policies and procedures.

  • Patient Assessment and Triage: 
  • Rapidly assess incoming emergency cases to prioritise treatment based on the severity of the condition. 
  • Perform thorough physical examinations and develop initial diagnostic and treatment plans. 
  • Critical Decision-Making: 
  • Make prompt decisions in life-threatening situations, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients. 
  • Evaluate risks and benefits to determine the most appropriate interventions. 
  • Emergency Procedures and Treatments: 
  • Perform lifesaving procedures, such as wound management, stabilisation of trauma patients, CPR, and surgical interventions. 
  • Administer emergency therapies, including blood transfusions, oxygen therapy, and pain management. 
  Diagnostic Workups: 
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging studies (X-rays, ultrasound), and urinalysis.

Job description: Lead Veterinary Surgeon  Location : Village Vets  Reports to : Regional Director    Summary of Job Purpose and Function  The Lead Veterinary Surgeon role is a key role in the Village Vets leadership team, and has overarching responsibility for the holistic performance of the clinic and team under their leadership. This is an exciting role, with autonomy in clinic leadership, to ensure that their team delivers the highest quality of patient care, alongside first class customer service and high team engagement.  Reporting to the Regional Director, this role has responsibility for delivering the business plan for the clinic working alongside other business partner functions. As a Veterinary Surgeon, they will primarily perform clinical duties in accordance with the standards and values upheld by Village Vets & the Veterinary Council of Ireland.    Leadership:  
  • Be an ambassador for Village Vets, demonstrating the values and principles of the company both internally and externally 
  • Lead the clinic team with a positive mindset, providing coaching and mentoring support to direct reports and the wider team, with the support of business partners, building positive relationships at all levels 
  • Be a clear and motivational communicator to the clinic team and Village Vets more widely and lead on communicating internal clinical, operational and group messages to the team through regular meetings, providing relevant feedback to the CST/AM where appropriate

  • Support the Head RVN in ensuring the nursing and ACA teams deliver exceptional care as a key part of the clinical team
