A Cork Story, A Family History.

A message from Vet and Village Vets CEO, Charles Cosgrave:

Village Vets arriving in Cork isn’t just about opening a new clinic—it’s about coming home. The Cosgrave family’s ties to Cork run deep. My grandmother was born and raised in Ballygarvan, and my father, Karl, now lives in Crosshaven. Though I’m originally from Meath, some of my fondest memories are of summers spent on the beach in Myrtleville, spinning around the ‘merries’ in Crosshaven and going to see Michael Jackson in Pairc Ui Caoimh. Cork has always held a special place in our hearts.

At Village Vets, we believe in care that’s personal, local, and built on trust. Our clinics are led by passionate teams who treat every pet like family and every client like a neighbour. We’re proud to bring that same spirit to Cork—where community matters and kindness goes a long way.

This isn’t just a new chapter for Village Vets—it’s a continuation of a family story that’s always had Cork at its centre.

Trusted Care, Rooted in Cork

At Village Vets Goold—formerly Goold’s Veterinary Clinic—the heart of the practice hasn’t changed. Conor Goold and his dedicated team have been caring for Cork’s pets for over 17 years, building a reputation for kindness, expertise, and genuine connection. Now, as part of the Village Vets family, that same trusted care continues, with even more resources to support your pet’s health and happiness.

Conor leads a close-knit team including Peter, Lea, Grace, and Charlotte, who bring warmth and professionalism to every visit. Whether it’s a routine check-up, surgery, or simply a reassuring chat, you’ll be welcomed by familiar faces who know your pet and care deeply about their wellbeing.

With upgraded facilities and a continued commitment to personal care, Conor and the Village Vets team is proud to serve Cork City and surrounding areas—offering modern veterinary medicine with the same local heart that’s always been part of the Goold name.

More Than a Clinic—A Douglas Family Tradition

At Village Vets Douglas, veterinary care is more than a service—it’s a promise made by Declan and Elaine Quigley, who proudly lead the clinic with heart and expertise. Declan, a vet with decades of experience, brings a special interest in orthopaedic surgery and emergency medicine, while Elaine ensures the practice runs with warmth, precision, and a genuine connection to every client.

Together, they’ve built a clinic that feels like home—where appointments are never rushed, questions are always welcomed, and pets are treated like family. Right in the heart of Douglas, this clinic is a reflection of the Quigleys’ commitment to excellence, empathy, and community. Whether it’s your first visit or a familiar check-in, you’ll always be greeted with kindness and trusted expertise.
